In order to ensure prompt and efficient operations, we employ both full and part time personnel to supplement our volunteer staffing.  There are a minimum of 2 personnel, 1 ALS and 1 BLS, on duty 24 hours a day. 

BLS providers must meet the following training requirements:

• Maryland EMT-B
• Class C Driver's license to be hired and a Class B license within 1 year of employment
• Hazardous Materials Operations
• Firefighter 1
• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course
• Vehicle and Machinery Rescue Technician

ALS providers must meet the following training requirements:

• Maryland EMT-I or EMT-P
• Class C driver's license
• Hazardous Materials Operations
• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course
• Vehicle and Machinery Rescue Technician (Optional for part time)
• Firefighter 1 (Optional for part time)
